Meet Our Graduate, Betheline!

First Graduating Class

School Year 2023-24

Impact International Institute of Haiti made it to the end of our FIRST school year and held our FIRST graduation for our Preschool 3 Class! Our first class is stepping into First Grade!

We couldn’t be more proud of our school teachers + staff, as well as our students whose little minds are leveling up!

Here is a little story about one of our graduates, Betheline.

Betheline is a Valentine’s Day baby, born on February 14th, 2018. We’ve known and loved her family for many years. Her older siblings - Edison, Guerldine, Davidson, Ashi - have all been and still are in our scholarship program.

When Betheline was a toddler, she would show signs of malnutrition, like fatigue and apathy.

Every chance we had, we would deliver rice + beans to her family. We would give her nutritious treats, like the RUTF Therapeutic Food and she would perk up immediately.

When we opened enrollment for our preschool last summer, we were so excited to find out Betheline enrolled in our oldest preschool class. And over the school year, she has become a rising STAR! We love watching her develop her leadership skills, build self-confidence, and express herself through singing and dancing this year!

Looking at this picture just reminds us what a miracle she is.

She is now a first-grader!

From the beginning, we desired to grow with our students and add grade levels with each school year. As we prepare for this Fall, we are committed to adding first grade and creating space to grow with our first graduating class.
