There has been a Cholera outbreak in our area. We personally know 16 people and counting who have been infected within the past 48 hours, including our own tutor and his mom. Left and right, people are experiencing sever symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea and have to be sent to the hospital immediately - if they can afford to go. Fluid loss is severe with Cholera and rehydration is critical. Cholera is transmitted through dirty water and contact with feces, which can spread quickly through river beds where people bathe and wash their clothes. Our team is taking extra pre-cautions. It is critical to provide a source of clean water to the community now. For two years and counting, rising inflation has created increasing challenges for the people.
