Our students’ favorite time of day is RECESS. And who can disagree? With access to a slide, swing set, soccer balls, jump ropes, library books, and countless building blocks, these kids can always find something to make them smile! For most schools in Haiti, these things are considered frivolous luxuries. But, I think Professor Pausch had the right idea. Of all the tools our educators can use to tap into a child’s creativity and real-world problem-solving, PLAY is the most powerful one.
